Pablo Appears

As the Market began, we started asking people if anyone had a birthday that week. We found one person, but he didn’t look like a Pablo….and his birthday was actually two weeks before. We kept calling out to see if we could find Pablo, explaining to  everyone that we had his birthday cake. Ten minutes later, a 13 year-old boy walked into the Market. He clearly had heard the announcement. When we announced again that we were looking for Pablo, the boy raised his hand. “I’m Pablo” he said with a sheepish smile. That was it. We announced that we had found Pablo and he got his birthday cake. So we found Pablo, but not really. “Pablo” started coming to the Market with his family since it began. He might have started coming to the Market because we throw candy at every kid that comes to the Market or maybe because children are considered VIPs. From that day on though, that 13 year-old boy became Pablo. Now Pablo gets greeted every week by his name.
