We Care And We’ll Show You
Serving Good cares deeply about active-duty military, veterans, and families in need across our community. With nearly one in four military and veteran families facing food insecurity, many are forced to skip meals or choose between food, rent, and other basic needs. Since opening our first market in January 2024, we have grown from serving 120–160 families a month to more than 1,500 families each month in 2026. As we continue to expand our markets in East County San Diego, we remain committed to helping those we serve with dignity, compassion, and care.
Our Markets Are The Difference
We operate free food markets that serve active duty military, veterans, and community members in need. Our markets provide fresh produce, deli items, prepared food, meat, bread, pastries, flowers, and more. We do not provide handouts. Our market visitors shop our markets like a grocery store, bringing dignity to free food distribution. Come visit Serving Good markets to see what a difference choice and dignity make when serving those in need.
Serving Good is honored to be recognized as California Nonprofit of the Year. This award reflects the heart of our mission: Serving active-duty military, veterans, and families in need with dignity, compassion, and respect. Through our free food markets, everyone is welcomed into a safe, positive environment where they can choose food and essentials. We are grateful to our volunteers, partners, and community members who make this work possible and help us continue to serve others every day.
