National Non-Profit Day

When we started, we had a couple team members and about 30 people show up for our market. We had just one market and only enough food for 30-40 people. We had both active duty military and veterans come to the market, as well as people in the community in need. People asked what they need to bring (ID, proof of income, etc.) to get food. We were proud to say, “You don’t need to bring anything. Just you.” We never ask for ID, we don’t need your zip code, and we don’t need any other information about people that shop our markets. We like to know the names of our shoppers, but that is only because we like to get to know everyone at our markets.

We get up every day with the drive to serve more people and to be better at what we do week after week. The 26 member team at Serving Good is so dedicated and we are proud of the entire team. If you get a chance, take a moment to say thank you to those that help us serve the community at Serving Good markets. In most cases, that team member will likely thank you for shopping our market.
