Serving Good has grown quickly, but our focus has remained the same: create free food markets that people actually enjoy coming to.

Our shoppers choose the food they want and need, just as they would at a grocery store. Our markets include fresh produce, meat, prepared foods, bakery items, shelf-stable food, flowers, household necessities, and more. We work hard to make every market organized, positive, and welcoming.

A tremendous amount happens behind the scenes to make that possible. Through our partnership with Feeding San Diegoand relationships with retailers including Trader Joe’s, Walmart, Grocery Outlet, Albertsons, and others, we rescue and distribute hundreds of thousands of pounds of food each year.

Being recognized as California Nonprofit of the Year is an incredible honor for our entire team. More importantly, it encourages us to keep growing, keep improving, and continue changing the way people see and experience free food distribution.
